Abstract
The article shows how the question of female pastors was discussed shortly after the Lutheran reformation. In their postils, Anton Corvinus and Johann Spangenberg argued that the risen Saviour according to the resurrection stories of the gospels had ordained the first female witnesses as pastors. Corvinus and Spagenberg were popular authors, and Martin Luther’s foreword gave their books a certain authority.
