Abstract
The article analyzes and discusses how three Faroese poets from different generations – Janus Djurhuus, Regin Dahl and Tóroddur Poulsen – have regenerated and made use of the same classic romantic poem by Goethe; “Ein Gleiches” (“Wandrers Nachtlied”). A key concept in the article is “entropy” describing a trend towards cultural disintegration.
