Abstract
The manuscript to this book is written by the Faroese historian Jákup Thorsteinsson who died in november 2009 - before it was published. The manuscript is about Faroese secession politics in the 1940ies. It is based on extensive research and is focused on the politics of Erlendur Patursson - the political leader of the Faroese Republican Party until he died in 1986. The maniscript was published by the Faroese Republican Party in 2014. My part in the project as an historian was editorial; to read and finish the manuscript of Jákup Thorsteinsson.
