Abstract
The article demonstrates how the question of female admission to priesthood was answered in the affirmative in the highly popular postils by Antonius Corvinus (German 1535, Danish 1539-40) and Johan Spangenberg (German 1543, Danish 1560). Moreover, Martin Luther’s preface to both these books was not just a recommendation but a genuine imprimatur.
