Project Details
Description
Despite decades of discussions in support of sustainable tourism development, the key performance indicators (KPIs) used to evaluate tourism performance remain volume-based, perpetuating tourism’s contribution to numerous global issues. Through a multi-phased case study approach of best practice destinations and indicators, this project sets out to develop and test a revised, value-based definition of tourism performance alongside a set of 1-3 novel KPIs in the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
