Population genetics: Studies have been carried on genetic structures of different organisms living on and around the Faroe Islands:
- Different fish species living on the Faroe Bank
- Faroese House Sparrow (Passer domesticus)
- Faroese house mouse (Mus musculus)
- Faroese eel (Anguilla Anguilla)
- Faroese Brown rats (Rattus norvegicus)
- Faroese mountain hare (Lepus timidus)
as well as the genetic structure and origin of the Faroese people.
