Design of domestic heat supply systems to show best flexibility to react to the requirements of the Faroese grid

Project Details

Description

The aim of the intended project is to produce some general guidelines for the design of heat-pump based heating for the Faroese housing stock. This is done by assessing the options for system design to show that it is possible to improve both the SPF of the systems and, on the other hand, the flexibility in the time pattern of the power required from the electricity grid, serving to adapt the requirements to the supply offered by renewable generation (here: wind, solar, hydro and tidal).
