Personal profile

Personal profile

I’m a PhD-student in history at the Faculty of History and Social Sciences of the University of the Faroe Islands.

Research interests

I'm interested in the interaction between humans and everything around us in a historical perspective.

In my PhD-project I examine knowledges regarding fish stocks and overfishing in the Faroe Islands in the period approximately 1950-1977. Furthermore, I look into whether the knowledges were translated to policies, e.g. regulations. I find inspiration from the traditions of environmental history and the history of knowledge.
