Personal profile
Regin Hammer is a Teaching Lecturer at the department of Social Science at the University of the Faroe Islands. He is an economist educated from the University of Dundee and Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 1998.
In the period from 1998 to 2010, he worked in Government Administration, various positions in the energy sector and ran a consultancy firm a few years, specializing in corporate finance, capital increases, IPO's and financial management.
From 2010 to 2016, he headed the largest financial group (insurance, pensions, life insurance, banking, real estate, investment) in the Faroes as Group CEO and involving a series of other board positions.
From 2016 till now he has been teaching at College and University level at the same time as working in Government Administration 2018-2021. Started full time at the University in 2021.
Teaching
Regin Hammer has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level in economics and business subjects including: economics, business strategy, marketing, financial management, organisation, statistics, methodology and methods.
He has supervised Bachelor theses at the University of the Faroe Islands.
