I have worked as a lecturer at Faculty of Health Sciences from 1999-2010. Since 2010 I have worked as a Student Counseler (50%) and International Coordinator (50%), where I represent The Faroese University in 2 network :
Nordkvist: FO- Univeristy og the Faroe Island, DK-Abslon University College, DK-University College Lillebælt -Odense , DK-University College Lillebælt - Svendborg, GL-Universtity of Greenland, IS-Univeristy of Akureyri, NO-Univeristy of Agder,NO-UNiversity of Nordland, FI-Arcada Univeristy of Applied Sciences, SE-Ersta Skøndal Bråcke Høgskolan, SE-UNiversity college Borås, SE-Univeristy of Karlstad, SE-Luleå University of Technology, FI-Åland UNiveristy of Applied Sciences.
NBNN ( Nordic Baltic Nursing Network ):
FO-UNiveristy of the Faroe Island, DK-UCL University College Vejle, LV-Red Cross Medical College of Riga Stradins Univeristy, FI-Laurea University of Applied science, FI-South-Eastern Finland Unvieristy of Applied Sciences, NO-Sør-Trøndelag UNiveristy College.
The goal of this network has always been to offer exchange possibilities for students and teachers at partner institutions. Past experience has shown that the network members have a mutual understanding for each other's
situations and that we have a number of experiences that can be shared. The members represent relatively small countries but together we are able to improve study processes in health care and offer students a great variety of international studies. NBNN is strengthening with every year of its work,
different cultural aspects and study methods are bounding to make better health care education across network Nordic Baltic member education institutions. The NBNN provides mobilities with different length, depending of students needs, and availability of
partner institutions, each mobility plan is custom made to fulfill needed aims. The NBNN provides an
opportunity for shorter-than-three-month exchanges: especially adult students sometimes find it difficult to leave their families for three months, which is the usual length of international exchanges. Changes in curriculums has increased the need for short mobility periods in order to achieve the learning outcomes for international and intercultural competences. This unique possibility for funding shorter mobility is only provided by Nordplus.
