Since June 1st. 2021, Jóhan J. Lamhauge has held a position at the University of Faroe Islands as a Teaching Lecturer in Law. Prior to this, he was an external teacher at the university, while he also was employed as a legal advicer with the Faroese Municipality Association. Jóhan has a formal background and experience in the legal practice as a lawyer.
He got a Master in Law (cand. jur.) from the University of Copenhagen in 2002, and in 2005 he got an appointment from the Danish Department of Justice to practice as a attorney.

Teaching
In the period from 2017 until present Jóhan has been teaching the following courses in the law program at the university, and other programs at the department of History and Social Sciences:
- Administrative Law
- Planning law
- Contract law
- Legal aspects of leadership
- Workshop in legal writing
Since 2021 Jóhan has also been a co-teacher in courses on the legal aspects of the Health sector as well as the course on Legisprudence.
