Hans Andrias Sølvará is Professor at Faculty of History and Social Sciences of the University of the Faroe Islands. He is a historian who has been at the University since 2009, first as Assistant Professor, later as Associate Professor. He was made a Professor in History in October 2019. Until January 2024 he was Dean at the Faculty of History and Social Science.

In the period 1999-2009, I taught, supervised and was examiner at the Faroese University part time. 

Since November 2009, I have been employed full time at the Faculty of History and Social Science, where I as Dean of the Faculty have been responsible for and participated in the development of a new structure of the growing number of educations at the Faculty.

Since 2009 I have developed courses and written descriptions for courses which I have taught or as Programme Director have been responsible for.
