Organisation profile

DHS offers bachelor program in nursing and master program in Health Science. Further does DHS offer single courses on bachelor, master and PhD level. Our research area is broad. Main research areas include Nursing and Care, Epidemiology and Public Health, Exercise and Integrated Physiology and Health Promotion, Gerontology, Geriatrics and Healthy Aging. The faculty conducts research of international standing, and research groups are led by experienced academics.

 

The department is part of the Centre of Health Science, a collaboration between the University, the Department of Occupational and Public Health, the National Hospital, and the Faroese Biobank. The

research is continuously integrated in the teaching, and the nursing and master students are invited to take part in research projects as part of thesis work.
