Gender Equality in the Arctic (GEA), phases I, II, III and IV is an international collaborative project focusing on gender equality in the Arctic dating back to 2013. The network includes members from all over the Arctic. In phase IV, the Pan-Arctic Report on Gender Equality in the Arctic was published. The report is an Arctic Council Sustainable Development Working Group (SDWG project) and a chairmanship project of the Icelandic Chairmanship 2019-2021, as part of the priority “People and Communities of the Arctic”. The Faroe Islands have been a part of the project from its 1st phase contributing in terms of both human and financial resources.
